Civil Liberty vs. Civil Rights

When homosexuality was granted minority protection under the law, it was only a matter of time before acting on religious conviction would be unlawful “discrimination” against a minority. We have successfully pitted civil liberty against civil rights in our country and we have a gov’t ignorant of both to thank for that.

The same is happening now that a few states have redefined marriage. You refuse to employ your products or professional services in a same-sex union, and now your illegally discriminating. You may even be denied operating permits by some rogue council member or face penalties and fines. You cannot establish arbitrary civil rights without undermining constitutional civil liberty.
